Eighth Day - Dream Youth Acts Eco Logically
Day 8 of the “Dream Youth Acts Eco Logically” (DYAEL) Youth Exchange project was filled with excitement and learning, highlighting our journey towards ecological awareness and cultural exchange. The day began with an energizing session led by the Czech team, fostering camaraderie among participants from diverse backgrounds and setting a positive tone for the day's activities.
Next, participants tackled ecological issues in the engaging activity "What Continent Are You?". Using mixed grouping methods, they collaborated in diverse teams to create pictures and videos illustrating various ecological challenges faced by different continents. This creative process deepened their understanding of the connections between ecology, geography, and historical issues, revealing the socio-economic factors behind these challenges. 🌍📚
In the afternoon, we enjoyed a cultural visit to Rome, exploring iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Participants connected historical events with earlier ecological discussions while admiring Renaissance art and indulging in traditional Italian cuisine. This immersion fostered meaningful conversations with locals, enriching their understanding of Roman culture and contemporary life. It was a perfect blend of education and cultural exchange, making the day truly memorable. 🏛️✨
